The wind was light and there was algae on the course.

Armand Paradis was the only sailor to show up and he reported that it was drizzling at the time.
Rain eventually arrived and it stayed that way into the night. No sailing occured.

What a great day we had yesterday at Redd’s Pond racing DF95s in this iconic location! Thanks to Joel White for the invitation to hold a TT event there and thanks to his wife Betsy for the great chocolate chip cookies!
As with many ponds, Redds has its quarks when it comes to wind patterns and yesterday was no exception. Figuring out the lulls and puffs factored greatly into how skippers did in any race. Ken Dooley seemed to have the inside track on how to play the pond. With seven wins he dominated the competition throughout the day! Joel White came in second using his local knowledge. Tiverton’s Paul Mercer came in third and by sailing in this event is the first sailor in Region 1 to meet the participation requirement for an invitation to the DF95 NCR.
Next up: Newport on October 7.

There was a nice southerly breeze to sail in.
Eleven heats were completed with two throwouts scored, racing was close.
